Parents and Guardians play a vital role in shaping the heart of our school community. Their involvement brings fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and a sense of unity that strengthens the bond between students, teachers, and families. By participating in school events, volunteering, or sharing their unique skills, parents and guardians help create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. Together, we can build a community that values collaboration, support, and the shared goal of fostering growth and success for all.
Family Participation Program
Volunteering helps to increase family involvement, build community, and strengthen our school. Shalom School requires that each family contribute 25 hours of service per school year. This commitment can be fulfilled in numerous ways including working in the library or signing up to assist teachers and staff with projects. In addition, our annual events such as the Benefit, PTF sponsored events, and field trips are supported by volunteers.
Every family is responsible for completing these hours by May 15th and at the end of the school year, any family who has not fulfilled all their hours must pay the difference between the hours worked and the 25-hour commitment at a rate of $15.00 per hour.

Parent/Guardian Handbook
The handbook serves as a vital resource for our school community, providing clear guidelines, policies, and expectations to ensure a smooth and positive experience for all. It fosters transparency, aligns families with our values and goals, and helps create a shared understanding of how we can work together to support student success.
