STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics)

Shalom School's STEAM program creates opportunities for children to explore, problem-solve, and collaborate. Integrated curricula emphasize process, the challenge of real-life problems, and the development of an appreciation of ambiguity. Children from early childhood through sixth grade develop the critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills that will enable them to become life-long investigators and creators.

Our STEAM program enables our students to:

· extend their knowledge and competence in robotics, coding, and other digitally-based topics through sophisticated curricula

· continue to experience the art program in classrooms and dedicated classrooms and also have those curricula extended by having elements of design thinking integrated into STEAM lessons on engineering

· have their current curriculum enriched and expanded through additional resources and state of the art professional development for teachers
